Patricia Lada (Donovan) passed away on October 17, 2024 at Delaware Hospice Center in Milford. She was preceded by her brother, John. She is survived by her husband of 54 years; two sons Eric and Nathan and two sisters Mary and Suzanne.
Pat was born in Troy, NY, and graduated from Catholic Central High School in 1965. She went on to attend Villa Maria College in Erie, Pennsylvania, where she met her future husband.
Pat began her career as an elementary school teacher before becoming a nurse. Though she enjoyed both careers, teaching was her true passion.
She had many hobbies, but horses were her favorite. She owned several over the years, with her first and favorite horse named Dodger. She continued to care for two horses until her passing. Pat also enjoyed painting and drawing, often creating cheerful scenes that included horses.
Above all, Pat loved her family. To them, she was simply the best.
Throughout her life, Pat and her family lived in Raleigh, NC; Albuquerque, NM; Cave Creek, AZ; Wylie, TX; Odenton, MD; and Magnolia, DE.
Funeral services will be private. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to either the horse rescue ranch: Walk N Circles Ranch, P.O. Box 626, Edgewood, NM 87015 (505) 286-0779 or Fox Chase Cancer Center, Main Campus, 333 Cottman Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19111-2497 (888) 369-2427.
