Patricia Edwards

Patricia Edwards, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, completed her journey here on earth and was reunited with the love of her life, Gerald “Gee” Edwards, on July 9, 2026, at the age of 94.

Patricia was born in New England, where she met the man who would become her husband and lifelong companion, Gee. Together, they built a life filled with family, adventure, laughter, and love. As a military family, they traveled the world, creating memories wherever life took them, while raising their four children - Wendy (Steve), Anita, Mark (Sally), and Dawn (Michael).

Patricia (Pat) never lost her love of travel or her curiosity about the world. She loved seeing new places, experiencing new things, and simply enjoying life. She also had a special love for hummingbirds - tiny, joyful visitors that brought her tremendous pleasure and seemed somehow fitting for a woman who found so much delight in the world around her.

Patricia is survived by her four children, 12 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

Those fortunate enough to know Pat knew a truly wonderful woman. She loved deeply, laughed easily, and possessed a warmth and spirit that drew people to her. She understood that a good life wasn’t measured only in years, but in the people you loved, the places you went, the memories you made, and the joy you found along the way.

For so many years, Gee and Pat walked through life side by side. Their journey together took them around the world and eventually home again, together.

As Pat joins Gee again for eternity, she leaves behind a family that spans generations, countless memories, and a legacy of love and a life well lived. And perhaps whenever a hummingbird appears, those who loved them will stop for just a moment, smile, and think of Pat and Gee and their forever love. ❤️

Committal service will be held on August 18, 2026 at 1:00 pm at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 26669 Patriots Way, Millsboro, Delaware.
