Nicholas Francis Colone, age 33, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, September 28, 2025. Born in Oneonta, NY on April 28, 1992, Nick spent most of his life in Hartly, DE.
He was a devoted son, brother, uncle, and friend, known for his outgoing personality and ability to connect with anyone he met. Proud of his Lebanese heritage, Nick always cherished his roots and the culture that shaped him. His love for sports was undeniable, especially his beloved Philadelphia Eagles, and he could often be found discussing sports statistics with anyone who would listen. Go Birds. His love for movies spanned many genres and decades, making him an aficionado of film and TV. He was also an avid collector of TV and film memorabilia, with a particular fondness for Doctor Who, Friends, the Joker, and Funko Pops, among many other treasures. He was also a devoted dog dad to his albino pit bull, Duke, whom he adored. Nick worked in various roles throughout his career, primarily in retail, and most recently served as Assistant Manager at Family Dollar in Marydel.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Patti Colone, and his grandparents, Pauline and Albert Colone, and Hilda and Newt Neidig.
Nick is survived by his father, David Colone; sister Kimberly Colone; nephew Joshua; niece Mikeala; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will miss him deeply.
A private burial will be held. A Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, October 11, 2025 from 2:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. at Nick’s home. Friends and loved ones are invited to stop by and celebrate Nick’s legacy and the positive impact he had on their lives.
