Nancy Ann Gillson Powell-Hoffstein went home to heaven to be with Jesus. She passed away February 2, 2025 at the age of 92. Nancy was born in Cincinnati, Ohio January 22, 1933 to the late Ada Lucy Anderson-Gillson and Raymond Leonard Gillson.
Nancy was preceded by her first loving husband Harold Williams Powell of 45 years, and her second husband Stanley M. Hoffstein of 7 years.
Also, preceded in death by her siblings Charlotte Gillson Johnson, Vincent Gillson, Geneva Stark, Genevieve Stark Hughes, Raymond Anderson Gillson, and Patricia Ann Gillson.
Nancy is survived by her daughter Karen Sue Powell 67, and her sister Beverly Jean Gillson-Manheimer 99, nine nephews, and three nieces.
Nancy graduated from Cooley High School, Detroit, Michigan and worked as a switchboard operator. Harold Powell came to Michigan visiting family and was introduced to Nancy. She left city life to become a farmers wife and housewife. She was a wonderful seamstress, cook, sometimes ran the tractor, and a lot of fun to be with.

Services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 10, 2025 at Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W Camden Wyoming Avenue, Wyoming, DE 19934, with a viewing starting at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in the Hartly Church Cemetery.
