Nancy Lee Anderson went home on Friday, March 21, 2025. She was 72 years old. Nancy was born December 17, 1952 in Wilmington Delaware to Shirley and Edwin Anderson, Jr. Throughout her years, Nancy had many titles while working. She was as an EMT, a waitress at the Smyrna Diner & Hollywood Diner, and partnered with her best friend Rocky cleaning houses.
Nancy was famously known for her spunky spirit, witty advice, and her my way or no way attitude. She enjoyed going to craft shows, coffee in hand, to display her beautiful creations. Nancy enjoyed going to the beach, trips to the Delaware State Fair, shopping with her family, and anything Elvis Presley. Her love of snowmen and Christmas time will be carried out for all the years to come by her granddaughters.
Of all the titles Nancy had in her lifetime, the two that she took the most pride in were mom and nana. Nancy spent every chance she could with her grandbabies and there was not one thing they could not get her to do (regardless of what their parents said, “I’m the Nana, I said they could,” were her famous words).
Nancy is preceded in death by her son David Olin, Jr.; her brother Eddy Anderson III; and her parents Shirley & Edwin Anderson, Jr.
Nancy leaves behind her daughter, caregiver, and biggest supporter, Shannon Taylor; her granddaughter Krystin (Erika) Taylor; grandson Patrick (Elise) Taylor, Jr.; her brother Jack (Kathy) Anderson; and her nieces, nephews, & many cousins. Also left to cherish her memory are her great-grandbabies Jaydynn and Braelyn, whom she loved immensely, spoiled, and spent all her time with, as well as three additional great-grandchildren: David Olin III, Hadlee & Colton.
In the famous words of Elvis Presley, "You only pass through this life once, you don't get to come back for an encore."
