Mildred Ann Pope, of Magnolia, passed away in her home, Monday, May 14, 2018, surrounded by her loving family. She was 77.
Mildred was born February 7, 1941, in Millsboro, DE to the late, Raymond & Mary Ellen(Rogers) Johnson. She had worked as a Greeter for Walmart in Milford for 15 years before retiring. In her free time Mildred enjoyed going to the slots.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 34 years, Leonard Pope, Sr.(2010) ; her brother, Glenwood Johnson(1997); her daughter, Sally Ann Warncke(2009) and her grandchildren, Benny Warncke(1992) and Tiffany Humphrey(2017).
Mildred is survived by her son, Raymond Williams & wife, Pamela, of Camden; Her daughter, Roseann Davis, of Magnolia; her son Leonard Pope & wife, Amy , of New Castle; sister-in-law, Sarah Johnson, of West Jefferson, N.C.; her grandchildren, Homer Cooper, Ulyssess Sudler, Dennit Hoskins, Danny Woodward, Jessie Brown, Tracy Brown, Eddy Pope, Tanisha Pope, Michael Warncke, Raymond Warncke, Tabbitha Harris, and Kimberly Price; as well as a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family.
A Memorial Service will be held at 12 noon, Monday, May 21, 2018, in Pippin Funeral Home, Inc., 119 West Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, DE; where family and friends may gather 1 hour before. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the First State Animal Shelter/Kent County S.P.C.A, 32 Shelter Circle, Camden, DE 19934 or to St. Jude’s Childrens Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN. 38105.
