Michelle Hawkins

Michelle Hawkins, 40, passed away unexpectedly on January 30, 2025. She was born in Dover, Delaware on April 18th 1984 to Wayne Hawkins, Sr. and Beverly Hawkins.

Michelle attended Dover High School. She worked at Pierce Fence Company as a Fabricator Specialist over the last 5 years. Michelle was known for her infectious laughter and animated personality.  She expressed herself with vibrant gestures and her voice could soar above any chatter.  She was funny, goofy and unapologetically herself.

Michelle is preceded in death by her father, Wayne Hawkins, Sr; sister, Jamie Hawkins; and her maternal grandmother, Mabel Vega as well as her paternal grandmother and grandfather.

Michelle is survived by her children, Jaelee Wilkerson, Jaelana Wilkerson and Brian Malinowski; mother, Beverly Hawkins (Dave Trover); sister, Karen Pierce (Bob); brother, Wayne Hawkins, Jr; her significant other Curtis “Joey” Kearney; and her childhood friend Laura Frank, as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

Michelle will be cremated and to honor her a celebration of life will be held at a later date among her family.
