Michael Andrew Peters

Michael (Mike) Peters passed away on May 9, 2026 surrounded by his family at the Delaware Hospice facility in Milford.

He was born on November 1, 1965 in NYC. He was raised in Rockland County NY and graduated from Nyack Sr High School in 1983.

Michael was a loving family man, a devoted husband to his wife, Cynthia and father to their children, Thomas, Michael, Jessica and Jennifer. He enjoyed military history, building model ships, and film photography. Michael was a happy, outgoing soul with a love of travel and adventure, instilling those qualities into his children.

After graduating with his Masters in Education from St. Thomas Aquinas College, he dedicated his life to educating the children of Rockland County, NY, and then Sussex County, Delaware.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Frances, and father, William, and is survived by his wife, children and his siblings, Richard, Christine and William.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 pm on June 8, 2026, at Conley's United Methodist Church, 33106 Jolyn's Way, Lewes, Delaware  for family and friends.
