Melvin Ronald "Junie" "Jr" Watson, Jr.

     Melvin Ronald Watson, Jr., "Junie", "Jr.", son of Melvin R. Watson, Sr. and the late Dorothy G. Watson was born on October 2, 1967 in Wilmington, DE. Mel departed this life on October 21, 2019 surrounded by his loving family and friends

     Mel spent most of his life in Townsend, DE and the latter part in Dover, DE.  He used to be an avid 49ers fan until the tried and true Eagles fans converted him over.  He loved spending time with his family and friends.  All a person had to say was "Mel, let's go" and he was ready, but being on time, maybe not.  He was so full of life.  He loved roller coasters, the beach, casinos and eating out with family and friends.  We all know he just liked eating.  Mel worked at Waste Industries, where he gained many special and valuable friendships.

     Mel was the sunshine that entered the room on a cloudy day, and his smile shined a light to brighten your day.

     Mel leaves to cherish his ever loving memories his father Melvin Watson, Sr.; two sons, Melvin Watson, III and DeJhon Evans; his brother Michael Watson (Charlene); several uncles, aunts, cousins and friends that will miss him dearly, especially Tinia.  He was preceded in death by his brother David Livingston and by his maternal and paternal grandparents.

     A funeral service will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, November 2, 2019 at Dale United Methodist Church, 143 E. Lake Street, Middletown, DE 19709 where there will be a viewing from 9:00 A.M. until 10:45 A.M. Saturday.  Graveside service will be 11:00 A.M. Monday, November 4, 2019 at Barratts Chapel Cemetery, 6486 Bay Road, Frederica, DE 19946. Online condolences may be made via www.pippinfuneralhome.com.
