Maurice Elwood Kemp, of Camden, went home to be with the Lord, Wednesday, September 22, 2021 in Milford Center. He was 80.
Maurice was born July 20, 1941 in Dover, DE to the late, Hamp & Myrtle(Hobbs) Kemp. He worked as a meat cutter his entire life, first with the family business, then at Klings in Petersburg, and ending at Sudlersville Meat Market for the past 15 years.
Maurice was a member of the Camden-Wyoming Moose Lodge; and in his free time he enjoyed listening to Blue Grass Music, watching NASCAR and football, fishing & crabbing.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Gloria(Casper) Kemp; his sister, Ethel Dill, and brothers, Mike Kemp, Delbert Kemp, and Rev. Milton Kemp.
Maurice is survived by 2 sons, Kenny Kemp, of Felton; and David Kemp & wife, Stacey, of Lincoln; a brother, Tom Kemp; and 2 sisters, Mabel Glanden & Doris Ann Wright, all of Wyoming; and 4 grandchildren, Kayla, Kristen, Mason, and Bailey Kemp.
Viewing will be held from 6-8 pm, Monday, September 27, 2021 in Pippin Funeral Home, Inc., 119 West Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, DE, where Funeral Services are scheduled for 11am, Tuesday, September 28, 2021.
