Maude Cox Baker Obituary

Maude Elizabeth “Pee Wee” (Lloyd) Cox Baker, 76, of Magnolia passed away on June 11, 2021 at Kent General Hospital. 

Mrs. Baker was a homemaker. She raised several generations of kids and grandkids. In her earlier years, she enjoyed dancing, vacationing, and camping. Her biggest joy in her life was taking care of her family. She truly loved many and was loved truly by many. 

Mrs. Baker is survived by her husband, Roy C. Baker; her sons, Michael Daniel Cox, Sr. and wife NeNe of Magnolia, Jason Parker “Jake” Cox of Magnolia, and Robert James Cox, 3 rd(who had been her caretaker) and his wife Glenda of Magnolia; her siblings: Samuel Edward Lloyd of Chesapeake City, MD, Edith Myrtle McGinnes and her husband Kenneth of Hartly, Mahala Virginia Smith of Goldsboro, MD, John Louis Lloyd, Jr. of Felton and Joanne Young of Lincoln; her grandchildren: Dawn Cox, Jeannette Birney, Bonnie Cox, Michael Cox, Jr., Ashleigh Cox, James Cox, Anthony Cox, Braylon Cox, Tyson Cox, Xavies Cox; great grandchildren: Honesty Cox, Robert J. Cox, 4 th, Kaydience Cox, Holden Cox, Michael Cox, 3 rd, Kailyn Cambridge, Marcus Cox, Alexis Cox, Christian Cox, Johnathan Birney, Jr., Kevin Zink, Natalie Zink  and one great great grandchild on the way. She was preceded in death by her parents John Lewis Lloyd and Edith Myrtle Lloyd; and sons, Robert James “Doodle” Cox, Jr. and Daniel Lloyd Cox; and grandchildren, Tyler Cox and Corey Birney.

There will be a viewing from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Wednesday, June 16, 2021 at the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden Wyoming Avenue, Wyoming, DE19934. A Celebration of Life will be 11:00 A.M. Thursday, June 17, 2021 at the funeral home where there will be an additional viewing from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. Thursday.  Burial will follow in Sharon Hills Memorial Park, Dover. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the funeral home to assist with expenses. Online condolences may be made via pippinfuneralhome.com.
