Mary Lou Patten

Mary Lou Patten, 78, passed away on December 3, 2024.  She was born in Richmond, VA to the late Byrd and Beulah Harris.  In addition to her parents, Mary is preceded in death by her stillborn son, Allen Thomas Patten.

Mary is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, George Patten; son, Gary Patten, Sr.; grandsons, Gary Patten, Jr. and Ryan Patten; great-grandchildren, Gage, London and Blaze; sister, Anne Knight; brother, Byrd Harris III; and her dog of 11 years “Kennedy”.

A funeral service for Mary will take place on Wednesday, December 18, 2024 at Pippin Funeral Home at 11:00am.  The family will receive friends 2 hours prior.  A graveside service will follow at Delaware Veteran’s Cemetery in Bear, DE at 1:00pm.

In Lieu of flowers, the family suggests making donations to St. Judes Children Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
