Martin Arthur “Mart” Russell, also lovingly known as “Cold Can,” went to his Heavenly home on June 13, 2020.
Mart was born on October 21, 1938 to Joseph and Marybelle Russell in Kenton, DE. He attended school at Kenton Elementary School in Kenton, DE.
He loved to watch baseball and old western movies on television and to spend time with his family. He began working at General Metalcraft for many years, and also at Hanover Foods in Clayton, DE until his retirement. He resided in Smyrna, DE for many years and then made his home in Kenton, DE, until his death.
He accepted the Lord Jesus Christ on February 2, 2020 while he was in Bayhealth Medical Center in Dover, DE. He is survived by his 3 step-children, Michael Youngblood, Darlene Youngblood, and Joyce Youngblood, 4 brothers, William (Jeanette), James (Barbara), Charles, and Wendell, 2 sisters, Geraldine (Ivan) and Emily, a devoted and special nephew, Mark Warren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Marybelle Russell, a sister, Marylena Miller, and a brother, Hollis Russell, Sr.
