On July 28,2025 Mark Kevin Hignutt went
peacefully to be with our lord at home
surrounded by loved ones, at the age of
58.
Born on May 28, 1967 in Chester,
Pennsylvania. Mark was the son of the late
Norman R. Hignutt Sr. and Frances R. Hignutt
(n'ee Cahall).
Mark was a loving and devoted husband to
his wife Shirley, they shared 30 years together.
He was also a devoted father to his daughter
Roxie Goble, and stepsons Michael Mangino
and Bruce Galm. He is also survived by
brothers Norman R. Hignutt Jr. (Linda), William
E. Hignutt and Paul A. Hignutt (Yvonne). His
mother in law Helen, bothers in law William
and Rocky (Melissa). Sisters in law Karen and
Robin.8 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren,
and a host of nieces and nephews, and his
sidekick Molly.
Besides his parents he was preceded in
death by his sister Kathleen Glancy, and sons
Timothy Goble, Perry Goble and Paul Goble.
Mark had a long work history including
Marple Newtown Trash Removal, Town of
Laurel, Bill James Warehouse, Seaford Feed,
Mountaire and numerous places.
Mark loved listening to his country music,
doing arts and crafts, writing letters to his wife,
looking through his magazines, and spending
time with family.
Mark will always be remembered for turning
his hat sideways, joking and laughing, his deep
love for his family and telling his stories.
A celebration of life will be held on August
23, 2025 from 12-4 at Crossroads Community
Church 20684 State Forest Rd. Georgetown,
De. 19947. Where family and friends are
invited for fellowship in his honor.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made in
his name to St. Judes Research Hospital.
