Marie A. Ackerman

Marie Angalene Ackerman, 86, of Camden-Wyoming, Delaware, died on Saturday, August 1st, 2026, in Dover, Delaware.

Born December 12th, 1939, in the coal-mining town of Gray, Pennsylvania, Marie was the youngest of five children by Grigori Nadtobschey and Anna Skaptauckus and was the last member of her generation to pass. Marie was married to William Ackerman for 39 years until his death, and is survived by her three children, Bill, Jeff, and Pam; her six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren, plus one soon-to-be.

Marie had a love for travel and spent much time traveling to Europe and the Middle East. She also enjoyed going on cruises, and twice took her family on cross-country road trips across the United States, visiting many National Parks and creating lifetime memories for her and her family. Her biggest passion was gardening, and she loved to create, grow, and work in her many flower beds. She also very much enjoyed sewing and upholstery and created beautiful curtains, pillows, and blankets from scratch that she gave to her many friends and family.

A graveside service will be conducted at 1:00PM on Friday, August 7th, 2026, at Lakeside Cemetery in Dover Delaware.
