Louise Dianne (MacDonald) VanderLee

    DOVER- Louise Dianne VanderLee, 68, passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends on April 21, 2018, at Bayhealth Kent General Hospital in Dover. Louise was born in Holyoke, Massachusetts, the first child of Yvonne Lucille (Degaraff) and Joseph MacDonald.

     After retiring as a Registered Nurse for 34 years at Milford Memorial Hospital, Louise continued in her faithful service to others as the Secretary of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Camden.  Louise was a dedicated and beloved member of St. Paul’s, sang beautifully in its choir, was a member of the Vestry, and a founder of the Thursday Morning Prayer Warrior Group.  Louise loved to travel, camp, ride motorcycles and fish with her husband, Mark, and enjoyed going to the movies, dining out and bowling with her family and friends.  

    Louise is survived by her husband of 39 years, Mark H. VanderLee of Dover; and her son, David J. VanderLee of Felton; four sisters: Joan (Joseph) Wutka of Camden, Dianne (John) Knotts of Davis, CA, Linda (David) Haxton of Camden and Paula MacDonald (Dale Hall) of Dover; four brothers: George (Leslie) MacDonald of Watertown, CT, Richard (Beverly) MacDonald of Smyrna, Phillip (Cyndi) MacDonald of Magnolia, and Allen (Flo) MacDonald of Magnolia; and her dogs Trigger and Bella.

     On Saturday, May 19, 2018, friends are invited to visit with Louise’s family from 9:30 to 10:30 at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 210 Old North Road, Camden, DE. A memorial service will begin at 10:30, followed by a reception in the Fellowship Hall.  In lieu of flowers, contributions offered in Louise’s name may be made to St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, P.O.
