Louise P. Smith

      Louise P. Smith, of Milford, went home to be with the Lord, Wednesday, July 27, 2022 in her home surrounded by her loving family. She was 89.

      Louise was born April 12, 1933 in Houston, DE to the late Oneda Scott. She worked as a cook for over 40 years at various restaurants throughout Kent & Sussex Counties. Afterwards she served as a Foster Grandparent for 17 years with the Lake Forest School District. In her free time Louise enjoyed knitting , crocheting, doing word searches & crossword puzzles, and watching Game Show Network on T.V.

      In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred I. Smith, Sr, and a son Robert Smith.

      Louise is survived by 6 children, Alfreda Smith, of Milford; Diana Faison, of Harrington; Alfred Smith, Jr., of Harrington; Anthony Smith, of New Jersey; Michael Smith, of Harrington and Juanita Farrington, of Milford; her sister, Patricia Smith, of Harrington; 3 brothers, Charles Coverdale, of Milford; Leroy Coverdale & David Coverdale, of Harrington; 14 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren & 12 great-great grandchildren; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

     Funeral Services will be held 11am, Friday, August 5, 2022 in Pippin Funeral Home, Inc., 119 West Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, DE; where family and friends may view from 9-11am. Burial will follow in Williamsville Cemetery. Condolences may be sent via: wwwpippinfuneralhome.com.
