Lois Jean (McCaughey) Utberg

     Lois Jean Utberg, 85, of Camden passed away on July 20, 2022. She was born in Canandaigua, NY to the late Frederick McCaughey and Bertha Gibson McCaughey.

     She moved from New York to Delaware with her husband of 49 years, Charles R. (Dick) Utberg, who passed away in 2002.  Her days were spent being a homemaker-a loving wife, amazing Mom and the bestest Mom Mom to her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also baked the most delicious cookies, always having a plate of them ready to share with family and friends.

     Lois is survived by her children Ronald Utberg of Bear and Brenda Deibel (Paul) of Camden; her sister Patricia Waden (James) of Livonia, NY; six grandchildren: Chrissy Bartz (J.T.), Kim Cole (Mark), Jeremy Clayton (Jessica), Jason Deibel (Quinn), Courtney Morean (Matt) and Brandee Deibel; eight great grandchildren: Peyton, Caleb, Mady, Dakota, Brantley, Hunter, Breghan and Brooks; special nieces and nephews, and her dear friends Gloria Carey of Smyrna and Peggy Tremble of Dover.  In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her son Richard Utberg, her daughter Lori Utberg, her grandson Brandon Deibel, her brother Gerald McCaughey, and by her loyal furry companion Baylee. 

     A visitation will be held on Monday, July 25, 2022 from 11:00 am-1pm at the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden Wyoming Avenue, Wyoming, DE  19934.  Services will begin at 1pm.  Burial will follow in Sharon Hills Memorial Park, Dover.  Online condolences may be made via www.pippinfuneralhome.com.
