Linford “Lin” Lockwood died Friday, March 13, 2026 at home. He was 91. He was born February 11, 1935, the son of the late Catherine Tatman Lockwood and Nelson Lockwood of Viola, Delaware. He graduated from Felton High School and immediately entered the U.S. Navy. He proudly served 4 years aboard the USS Robert K. Huntington.
Lin worked for 30 years at General Foods, now Kraft Heinz. He loved gardening and always maintained a beautiful home and yard. He was an avid fisherman and looked forward to winter fishing in the Florida Keys and Fall offshore fishing from the Outer Banks of North Carolina. He and his family were travelers, touring most of the U.S., Caribbean, Alaska, Mexico, Russia and Europe.
He is survived by his wife, Estelle, and his grand dog, Golden Retriever, Dakota. His only child, Steven Artis Lockwood, died in November 2024.
A funeral service will be 11:00 A.M. Friday, March 20, 2026 at the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden Wyoming Avenue, Wyoming, DE 19934 where there will be a viewing from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. Friday. Burial will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Camden.
