Linda Perry Obituary

Linda Sue Perry (Trent), age 76, of Houston, DE, passed away on April 6, 2024. She was born on January 14, 1948 in Surgoinsville, TN to the late Edna Greene and Walter Trent.

Linda was a truly selfless person who would help anyone in need.  She was strong in her faith and so many other ways.  Spending time with her family and friends made her the happiest.

Linda worked in various food prep positions at establishments such as the Coral Reef, Luther Towers restaurant, and even operating a restaurant her family owned in Magnolia.  She also worked as an aide at Courtland Manor Nursing Home and worked for Playtex until her retirement, after which she became a dedicated caretaker to her eldest child.

She was a member of Calvary Assembly of God in Dover, DE. She had many friends there that would frequently reach out to her to provide fellowship and support. In her free time, Linda enjoyed reading, crafting (crochet, plastic canvas, cross-stitch), and watching her favorite TV shows like Jeopardy, The Voice, NCIS, and more.  However, her greatest joy came from spending time with her loved ones.

Linda is survived by her loving children: Yolanda Perry, Earl Perry (spouse Pam), and Sherri-Lynn Hampton (spouse Nick); grandchildren: Kelsey Perry, Morgan Perry, Joshua Hampton (Natalie), Kayla Hampton (Jacob), Keira Hampton, and Jadon Hampton; great grandchildren: Kaiden Hearn, Alaiyah Hearn, Jesse Hampton and Maya Hampton; and brother Luther Trent.  In addition to her mother (Edna Greene) and father (Walter Trent), she was preceded in death by her brothers Robert Trent and Ken Trent; and her sisters May Trent and Ruth Marshall.

A funeral service will be held at 12:00 P.M. on Monday, April 15, 2024 at Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W.
