Linda was born on March 27, 1940 in Camden, New Jersey, to Karl and Dorothy Klabe. She attended Glassboro State College and began her career as an English teacher, teaching for two years at Linwood School in New Jersey.
On July 2, 1966, Linda married the love of her life, Jeffrey Lynn Edwards. In 1972, they moved to Delaware with their two children, Scott and Julie Edwards, where they built a life together. Soon after moving to Delaware, Linda began working at the Dover Public Library. Over the course of her long and meaningful career, she became the Head of Circulation and remained with the library until her retirement in 2008. Linda was known for her strong work ethic, intelligence, and love of books and learning.
Linda and Jeff shared a life long marriage until his passing on May 11, 2024. Throughout her lifetime, Linda enjoyed cooking, reading, gardening, and collecting jewelry. Her all-time favorite food was ice cream. She was also deeply involved in politics and often writing letters to politicians about causes important to her.
While Linda dearly loved her family, the true love of her life was her beloved cat, Oliver, who remains with Julie and is still going strong at 18 1/2 years old.
Linda is survived by her children, Scott and Julie Edwards; her sisters, Susie Kujawa and Elaine Carnie; and her cherished cat, Oliver.
