Lila A. Wall

     Lila A. Wall, 77, was born in Dover, Delaware, at Kent General Hospital on August 5, 1947 to her late parents, Sarah B.  Wall and Dossie Wall Sr. She was called back home on February 23, 2025 at the University of Pennsylvania Hospital—Pavilion in Philadelphia, PA. 

     Lila attended William Henry High School in Dover, DE and spent her adult life in Philadelphia, PA, where she pursued a nursing career. She loved caring for others and had a beautiful heart and soul, showing love to everyone she met. Her unique laugh, fantastic sense of humor, and distinct style set her apart. Lila was incredibly passionate about fashion, especially when it came to her hair. In her free time, she enjoyed dancing, listening to Mary Mason on the radio, attending barbecues, and watching soap operas. To know Lila was to love her. Above all, she cherished her conversations with her treasured son, Reuben, whom she adored and spoke with daily.

     Lila was preceded in death by her parents and her four brothers: Parris L. Wall Sr., Dossie Wall Jr., Allen Walls, and James Jackson.  

     Lila is survived by her only beloved son, Reuben Anthony Wall; three sisters, Sandra Walls, Patricia Jackson, and Veronica Jackson; her long-time companion of 29 years, Waverly B. Taylor; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends, whom she has touched with her beautiful spirit. 

     A funeral service will be 12:00 P.M. Saturday, March 8, 2025 at the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden Wyoming Avenue, Wyoming, DE 19934 where there will be a viewing from 11:00 A.M. until 12:00 P.M. Saturday.  Burial will be private.
