Kevin Moore was born on August 29, 1962 in Brooklyn, NY from the union of Artenas Moore and Elizabeth Porter (affectionately known as “Aunt Maggie”). Kevin was raised in a loving home with his mother, sister and brothers.
Kevin was educated in the Brooklyn School system and graduated from John Jay High School in 1980. He attended the Borough of Manhattan Community College for a year before entering the United States Air Force in 1981. Kevin met and married Irene Nebl while stationed in Germany and from that union they had two children, Kevin David and Nina Jennifer. During his tenure in the US Air Force, Kevin achieved the rank of Staff Sergeant, obtained top secret clearances, while performing his duties at Bolling Air Force Base and the Pentagon. Kevin served his country for 10 years before leaving to pursue a career in the Banking and Technology industries.
Kevin had a great sense of humor which brought joy and laughter to friends and family in person and through his Facebook posts. He loved to cook for his family and his signature dish was fried pork chops. Kevin loved basketball, baseball and football. He was especially passionate about the New York Knicks, Mets and Jets. So much so that family events had to be scheduled around his games unless the games were being recorded.
Kevin married the love of his life, Tracey Warfield, and together they enjoyed a 34 year relationship including 19 years of marriage. Kevin and Tracey found in each other a love of sports and family. Kevin and Tracey joined Worship Christian Center in Camden, Delaware in 2008.
On the morning of November 21st, 2024, after a long illness, Kevin departed this life to go home to be with the Lord.
Kevin was preceded in death by his father, Artenas Moore, and mother Elizabeth Moore.
Kevin leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife Tracey Warfield Moore; son Kevin; daughter Nina and honorary daughter Edwina Morton; grandchildren Trystian, Tariq, Irie, and Serinity; four brothers: Anthony, Charles (Brenda), Darrell, and Stephan (Victoria); one sister Adrienne Moore (nieces, Sarah and Taylor, whom he helped care for since birth); and a host of other aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
A funeral service for Kevin will take place on Tuesday, December 3, 2024 at 10:00am at the Worship Christian Center, 107 South St. Camden, DE 19934. The viewing will take place one hour prior. Burial will follow the service at 1:00pm at Delaware Veteran's Memorial Cemetery, 2465 Chesapeake City Rd. Bear, DE 19701.
