Kenneth Wooleyhand

     Kenneth Edward Wooleyhand, 69, of Cheswold, Delaware, passed away Saturday, June 13, 2026, at home surrounded by family.

     He was born April 25, 1957, in Easton Maryland to the late Thomas Henry Wooleyhand, Sr, and Eva Mae Williamson Wooleyhand.

     Kenny graduated from Dover High School in 1975. He was on the Dover High swim team at the YMCA and could swim like a fish. Throughout his high school years, he worked for Hermen Moore building crab pots for the local commercial crabbers alongside two of his brothers, Tom Jr. and Wayne.

     He enjoyed family camping trips to Toms Cove Campground down in Chincoteague, VA. He also enjoyed bowling with the family on Saturday nights Moose League/Moon Lighters and Sunday Firemen’s league.

     Kenny worked at Python Enterprise, ED Supply, Milford Shore Crop, Roto Rooter, Wilson Trucking, Dawson Bus and his last and favorite of all was driving dump trucks for J. King Transport. He cherished every new truck he got and kept them spotless.

     In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Dawn Nicole Wooleyhand in 1988.

     He is survived by his wife of 46 years Brenda L. Wooleyhand, son James Nathan Wooleyhand Sr. and wife Tiffany, daughter Sherry L Wooleyhand and fiancé Jimmy Malafronti, grandchildren Sierra Zadroga, James Malafronti, James Wooleyhand Jr., Rylee Malafronti, Ethan Wooleyhand and step granddaughter Talley Ridgeway, great grandson Westley Allen Malafronti, brother Thomas H Wooleyhand, Jr and wife Lola of Felton, De; Robert Wayne Wooleyhand of Chincoteague, VA and sister Rose M. Mallery and husband Larry of Little Heaven, De; brother Charles L. Wooleyhand and wife Linda of Dover, De; numerous nieces and nephews and extended in-law families.

     Celebration of life will be held Saturday June 20, 2026 at Mike and Mel's Restaurant, 108 N. Railroad Avenue, Camden-Wyoming, DE from 3pm-6pm.
