Kenneth Joseph Adriance, 82, of Dover, Delaware passed away peacefully on May 24, 2025. Born on February 4, 1943 in Jersey City, New Jersey, Ken was the beloved son of the late George and Margaret Adriance.
Ken grew up in Jersey City before moving to Dover, Delaware where he lived the remainder of his life. He was a devoted husband to his wife, Eileen Adriance; they were married in 1963 and shared over six decades of love, laughter, and unwavering devotion to one another. Together, they raised three daughters: Dianne Shlan (Mike), Lori Hatch (Tony), and the late Barbara Ann Adriance (Robert Hardesty).
Ken was a proud grandfather to Ryan Shlan (Emily), Joey Shlan (Erica Brittingham), Matthew Fransisco, Brandon Hatch, Sydney Hatch, and Anthony Hatch, and a cherished great-grandfather to Brantley Fransisco, Carter Shlan, and Juliana Shlan. He is also survived by his sister-in-law Gail Wilson, and a host of loving nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Donald Adriance and will be deeply missed by his loyal dog, Cody.
Ken dedicated 29 years of service to Bayhealth Medical Center, where his hard work and kindness touched the lives of many. A man of deep faith, he was a devoted member of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Dover.
A lifelong Philadelphia Eagles fan, Ken never missed a game and proudly wore his green no matter the season.
Ken will be remembered for having the biggest heart and the sharpest wit. His presence lit up a room, and his love left an indelible mark on everyone who knew him. He gave the best hugs - warm, caring and always just when you needed them most.
