Kathleen Joan Breder

Kathleen "Kathy" "Kakki" Joan Breder (Andersen), a cherished mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 8, 2025. She was 77 years old.

Born on November 26, 1947, in Atlantic City, New Jersey, Kathy was the daughter of the late Rita "Dolly" Ricci and John Ricci. She spent her formative years in Mays Landing, New Jersey, before moving to Dover, Delaware, where she resided for many years.

Kathy found immense joy in the simple pleasures of life. She treasured every moment spent with her cherishedgrandchildren, Talia and Jensen, who were the light of her life. A true animal lover, she had a special fondness for cats and dogs. Kathy also enjoyed the tranquility of walking on the beach and the excitement of a good game of bingo.

She is survived by her devoted daughter, Kara Thompson (Breder), and son-in-law, Jason Thompson; her cherished grandchildren, Talia and Jensen Thompson; her brother, Dennis Ricci; and her sisters-in-law, Margaret "Peggy" Ricciand Sharon Andersen.

Kathy was preceded in death by her loving mother, Rita "Dolly" Ricci; her father, John Ricci; and her brothers, Leroy Andersen and John Ricci Jr.

Kathy's gentle spirit, warm heart, and unwavering love for her family will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and cherished memories.
