Karen Inter Wilson, 67 passed away on January 28, 2024, at home from her battle with cancer. Karen was born February 26, 1956, in Tacoma, Washington. She was the second of five daughters born to Lois Jordan Inter and the late Thomas William Inter. Karen is survived by her mother; daughter, Emily Wilson of Dover and son, Adam Wilson and his wife Amber of Mars, Pennsylvania; her grandchildren, Hank and Daisy Wilson and Kade Brooks. Karen is also survived by her sisters, Janet Carter (Zach), Beth Inter, Nancy Denney (Doug) and Carol Inter; niece and nephews: Jessica Carter Mendieta, Eric, Ben, and Alex Carter, Rob and Matt Denney, and Miles Inter.
Karen found great joy in her children and grandchildren. She was especially happy that she was able to meet and spend time with her newest grandchild, Kade. She was a favorite of her niece, nephews, and great-nieces and nephew who enjoyed her sense of humor and loved to spend time with her.
Karen collected and kept friends across all aspects of her life; a gift she appreciated. Her life-long friend, Pam Lindstrom of West Sunbury, Pennsylvania was with Karen during the last phase of her journey which meant everything to her. Karen’s amazing network of friends provided support, love, and care during her illness.
Karen was known for her quick wit, intelligence, and being a dependable, honest friend. She spent her career as a social worker in the service of adoption with both the Division of Family Services and A Better Chance for Our Children. Karen retired at the age of 62 to enjoy her family and friends.
