Kaiden Bergey Obituary

Kaiden (warrior) was a fighter from start to finish. He would never take anything at face value. He would challenge anything and anyone (even if he was wrong). His doctors and nurses were always astounded at his resilience including running through the hospital halls after his first dose of chemo and the entire care team speed walking behind him trying to keep up while doing his evaluation. He also had the most sensitive heart. He was always thinking about others feelings, bringing flowers to his mom, and always looking out for others. He could always seem to sense when his mom wasn’t feeling the greatest, and he would come over and give the biggest hugs, and on the rarest of occasions, kisses. His mom and younger brothers were well protected with Kaiden around, and his love was given to all. He also enjoyed following dad and pop-pop around the farm, and going to work with dad.

He loved learning. He was counting to 100 by the time he was 4, along with addition and subtraction of just about any problem you could give him up to 100.  At 5 learned the multiplication table, and was beginning to write his name and reading some basic words. He loved school, and had 3 best buds that he was in class with. He knew his animals very well, often explaining to his parents how they were wrong in description, or attributes of a specific animal.

Kaiden loved making people happy. He had a signature smile and giggle that was contagious. He loved to make others smile and laugh too. He liked to play pranks on people and tell/learn jokes. One of his signature jokes (he would often make them up) was “knock knock”, and when you would say “who’s there” the punch line was “it’s not a real joke!” He would always follow this up with a hearty giggle and sometimes belly laugh.

His family was always super important to him. His pop-pop and cousin were his best friends in the world. Living right next to pop-pop and mom-mom we never had to look long when Kaiden disappeared. A quick phone call would confirm he had snuck over to find pop-pop.

Kaiden leaves behind his father Nevin S Bergey, and Mother Heather R Bergey, along with 2 brothers Miles D, and Elliot C. Grandparents John & Brenda Sapp, and Larry & Linda Bergey. Great Grandparents John & Dorothy Severson, Ruth Baker, Marvin Yoder, and John & Anna Mary Hess. Along with 22 aunts & uncles and 27 cousins.

He will be greatly missed.
