Joseph Uriah Nelson, Sr.

    Camden-Wyoming, DE- Joseph Uriah Nelson,Sr., of Camden-Wyoming, DE passed away peacefully  in his home, surrounded by his loving family , Tuesday December 28, 2021. He was 106.

    Joseph was born April 18, 1915 on the beautiful island of Jamaica to the late Theodore & Marie(King) Nelson. He worked as a mason in the construction business till his 100th birthday.

   Joseph is survived by 7 children, Sharon Lewis & Joseph Nelson, Jr., with whom he resided; Ahmed Altayeb, of Bethlehem, PA.; Cyril, Lidia, Christopher, and Kurk Nelson, all of Kingston, Jamaica; and 10 grandchildren, Jamie-Lee Lewis, Jon-Marc Nelson, Jordan Nelson, Jonathan Lewis, Jason Lewis, Jade Nelson, Dania, Musa, Sujhila, and Anas Altayeb.

   Services will be held 8pm, Wednesday January 5, 2022, in Pippin Funeral Home, Inc., 119 West Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, DE; where family and friends may view 1 hour before.
