Joseph Bauer

Joseph (Pops) Bauer of Harrington, DE, passed away on January 15, 2023. Pops was a loyal and compassionate man who celebrated 64 years and five loving days of marriage with his wife, Dianne Bauer. He was strong and proud, pushing through his ailments until the very end. 

Joseph is survived by his wife, Dianne L. Bauer; his children, Didee, John (Deborah), and Deborah; his sister Gale Grice (Mary Peterson); his grandchildren, Jennifer, Jason (Megan), Paul (Alicia), Lindsay (Dave), Matthias (Mary), Maggi, Lila (Christopher), his great-grandchildren Paul, Jolyne, Lily, Aurora, and Adrian, and nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his mother and father, Elizabeth and Joseph, and his grandson Joey. 

He was born on November 6, 1939, and lived a long and happy life surrounded by loved ones. His accomplishments included his family and his 80-acre farm. He retired from The Scott Paper Company after 30 years and loved his monthly breakfasts to catch up with coworkers. 

Pops was a devoted father, grandfather, uncle, and loyal friend to many, who loved to share stories. With a voracious appetite for fine food, laughter, and company, he was always the life of the party.
