John Schrock

John Schrock, age 87 of Dover passed away on January 10, 2023, at Bay Health Kent General Hospital in Dover, DE.  Mr. Schrock was born, one of eleven children and the son of Emanuel & Lydia Schrock, on February 7, 1935, in Mobile, AL.

John was always willing to help others in need.  He often volunteered to drive the Amish to their appointments, to drive the bus at Southside Baptist, to help whomever was in need and to volunteer for Awana.  John also volunteered at the Hartly Fire House with their fundraisers and their Bingo’s.  When not working for Perdue Farms he could be found selling household items for extra income.

He is preceded in death by his parents & 8 siblings.  He is survived by his sister, Wanda McGinnins (the late Archie); his brother, Toby Schrock (the late Peggy); several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Funeral service Monday, January 16, 2023, 11 am at Southside Baptist Church, 4904 S. Dupont Hwy., Dover, DE 19901; where friends may visit beginning at 10 am.  Interment will be private.
