John William Vincent Longfellow, 93, of Wyoming, DE, passed away at home on July 6, 2025 surrounded by his loving family.
Vincent was born on December 5, 1931 in Felton, DE to the late John and Edna (Truitt) Longfellow. He attended Jump’s School and Felton School, served two years in the U.S. Army (Korean War) and worked for Playtex for 50 years.
Vincent was a kind and devoted husband and father who will be sadly missed. He enjoyed camping and traveling, but his family and music were always his priorities. He enjoyed singing and playing guitar in his home church (Lebanon Wesleyan Church) where he was a member, as well as other churches, etc. He enjoyed gospel and country music, and Ernest Tubb was his favorite.
In addition to his parents, Vincent was preceded in death by his brothers: Floyd Longfellow, Leroy Longfellow, Gene Longfellow and Joseph Longfellow; and his sisters Edna “Mary” Murphy and Grace Moore.
Vincent is survived by his loving wife of 70 years, Mary Ann Longfellow; his daughter Sandra Pallam (David); his brother Charles Longfellow; his sister Dorothy Williams; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Services were private and officiated by Rev. Scott Conn (Laurel Wesleyan Church / Mission Community Church). Interment in Mt. Olive Cemetery, Sandtown, DE.
