John W. Halsey, Sr.

     September 7, 1940 - November 6, 2023

     Loving husband and stepfather

     John is survived by his wife, Patricia Halsey of 24 years, one son John W. Halsey, Jr.  and four daughters and six step children, Kevin Cox of Magnolia and wife Spencer, James Creed of Camden and wife Michelle, Marie Caldwell of Felton, Sharon Creed of Felton and wife Kathy, Tara Cox of Magnolia, Patricia Smith of Felton, and Annie Poore and husband Dorsey Poore of Magnolia; his sister in law Virginia Creed of Felton;  multiple grandchildren and great grandchildren.

     He is preceded in death by his mother, Emily Shaw and father, Paul Halsey and three sons-in-law, Wayne Creed, Paul Smith, and David Smith.

     John was a truck driver for many years.  He enjoyed family barbecues, family gatherings,  was an avid fan of NASCAR, fishing and crabbing.
