John L. Bright Jr. son of the late John and Gwendolyn S. Bright, was born August 19, 1952 in Philadelphia, PA. He attended Most Precious Blood grade school and later graduated from Bishop Neumann High School in 1971.
After high school, he worked and held various positions until he retired.
He was a real sports fanatic. He loved the Philadelphia Eagles, 76ers, and the Phillies in fact he loved everything Philadelphia. Never missed watching a game and enjoyed conversations about them.
He was preceded in death by his father John Bright Sr. and his mother Gwendolyn S. Bright; two brothers George Wilkinson and Wilfred Dennis; and two sisters Sheila B. Bright and Elaine Richardson.
John leaves to cherish his memory his wife Roxanne Bright; three daughters: Yolanda, Tisha and Doreen; one brother Montez (Man Man); one stepson Stacy; his sisters Sharon Parks and Joyce Wallace; his mother-in-law Helen Foreman and his brother-in-law Rev. Roland Foreman; many grandchildren; 4 Great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
A funeral service will be 11:00 A.M. Friday, July 24, 2026 at the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden Wyoming Avenue, Wyoming, DE 19934 where there will be a viewing from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. Friday. Burial will be private. Online condolences may be made via www.pippinfuneralhome.com.
