Jeraline Heath Obituary

Jeraline Marie Heath was born on March 17, 1948 at Kent General Hospital in Dover, Delaware. She was the oldest daughter born to the late Stanford M. Johns and Ella Hawkins Johns. Jeraline accepted Christ at an early age and was a devoted Christian. Her faith was a guiding light in her life that brought her comfort in times of trouble. Throughout her life Jeraline attended Booker T. Washington Elementary, William Henry Middle School, and Dover High School before entering into the workforce.
Jeraline worked at Delaware Home and Hospital before leaving, pursuing a career as a child care aide for Emily Morris Daycare Center in Capital Green until she went to work for Perdue Chicken plant as a de-boner. She then retired from working to become a homemaker.

Four children were born from that union: Angela Harris (Lawrence), Michelle Pierce (Charles), Aretina Pierce (Alvin), and Dewey L. Pierce Jr. (Chelsea). In addition to one bonus son Robert “Chuck” Baynard. In 2005, Jeraline married Reginald Heath Sr. who was her partner and friend until she left to be in the presence of the Lord. From that union she gained another bonus son Reginald Heath Jr.
In her quieter moments, Jeraline found solace in spending time with family or just reading her Bible. She enjoyed listening to gospel music and watching church services on TV. She had a variety of hobbies including cooking, playing card games, bingo, and po-keno. She was a loyal fan of game shows, never missing an episode of "The Price is Right" or "Wheel of Fortune." She could often be found engrossed in the dramas of "The Young and the Restless" and "The Bold and the Beautiful."
Jeraline was called to eternal rest on July 17, 2025. Her presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Jeraline was preceded in death by her parents; two daughters: Aretina Pierce (Alvin) and Michelle Pierce (Charles);  seven brothers: Charles (Sue), John (Flora), Joseph, Philemon (Maggie), Mark (Elizabeth), Albert (Wanda), and William (Betty); seven sisters: Edna (Donald), Ella “Becky”, Annie Mae, Audrey, Darlene, Elmar, and Daisy,.
