Jeannette Hinson Obituary

On September 15, 2022, God came and whispered to his daughter Jeannette (Poe) Hinson "Come to me"  God's angel wrapped its wings around her and escorted her safely to her Heavenly mansion.

Jeannette Hinson was born in Philadelphia, PA on October 24, 1965 to George Poe (deceased) and Anita Poe (deceased). Jeannette attended Job Corps in VA where she completed her high school education and studied to become a nurse.

On May 3rd, 2008, she married the love of her life William Hinson. Together they lived in Philadelphia most of her adult life until settling down in Delaware to live a quieter life away from the city. Jeannette was a survivor of breast cancer, heart attack and an open-heart surgery. She was a strong and resilient woman with a love for life and that feisty personality that would always win you over. Jeannette was a collector of many things, but most of all she was a collector and connoisseur of coins. She loved her music, painting, and of course building her community in the Sims game; to decorate was her passion. If you wanted to find her, she would probably be in her garden. Maybe she was passing by you on her bike on any given afternoon.  Jeannette loved her family and she thrived most of her time on her children and grandchildren.

Jeannette is preceded in death by her parents George Poe and Anita Poe; brother Samuel Poe; sisters Brenda Mobley and Joanne Artis.  She leaves precious memories with her husband William Hinson, children: Kenneth Poe (Karintha), Christine Parnell-Scott (LaCurtis), Mark Rainey, Jr., Charles Rainey (Stasia), Robert Rainey (April), Priscilla Rainey (Watkins); grandchildren: Montez, Sakina, Priscilla, Aiden, Robert, Jr., Tyler, Nevaeh, Nolan, Tiara and Vusiri; sisters Olivia Patterson and Thelma Harrell; brothers David Poe (Bridgette), George Poe (Monica), Bobby Poe, Tyrone Poe; sister in law Danette Coles; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

We the family would like to thank everyone for all their love, support and prayers in our time of bereavement.

A funeral service will be 12:00 P.M. Wednesday, September 28, 2022 at the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W.
