It's with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our Beloved resident Janice L. Brazell who departed this life on February 15, 2026. This transition was peaceful, in her home, surrounded by her loving housemates and staff. Janice has been a part of the Kencrest Family since January 30, 1963. Janice was always seen with a smile on her face. If Janice liked you, she would rename you one of her names like Hot dog, Chicken or bean soup. She was very meticulous. She didn't like for her food to touch nor did she like getting her hands or clothes dirty. Janice always wanted to be made aware of who's working tonight. She had such a loving personality and was well liked by everyone. If you got struck by the Love Bug, A.K.A. Janice, your life would never be the same. She was an active participant in the Red Hat Society, The Arc of Delaware, Kent Sussex Industries, the Woodside Center Day Progarm and the Salvation Army Bell Ringing program. Janice was very fashionable and loved jewelry from rings, necklaces and bracelets. She loved collecting various items including business cards. Janice enjoyed being out in the community and spending time with family and staff. She loved looking through magazines doing puzzles and doing 250 to 500-piece puzzles. Janice was very outspoken. She would make everyone feel special. She was such a delight and would fill a room with her presence. We Love You. We will miss you. All of Us at The "Wood".
Rest Well Our Golden Girl.
Besides her Kencrest family, she is survived her brother James Brazell and his children Adam, Michael and Megan and her brother Ralph Freso and his children Reese and Jackson.
Service will be Wednesday, February 18 at 5:00 pm at the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 West Camden-Wyoming Avenue, Wyoming, Delaware, where there will be a viewing from 4:00 until service time. Burial will be at a later date in Barratt's Chapel Cemetery, Frederica, Delaware.
