Janet M (Baker) Lacy

     Janet M. (Baker) Lacy, 80, of Felton passed away on June 24, 2021 at Kent General Hospital.

     Janet was very involved with the Ladies Auxiliary of Milford VFW Post #6483, where she was also involved with the Cooties. She, with her late husband, had a lifetime commitment in volunteering to help veterans. Earlier in life, Janet worked in a bakery for many years.  This passion carried on as she loved baking for and with her grandchildren.  In her later years, she helped the disabled with occupational therapy.  The most important things in Janet’s life were her family and friends.  She loved conversation and didn’t know a stranger. 

     Janet was preceded in death by her husband, John E. Lacy, who passed away on July 30, 2020 and by her son, Thomas G. Lacy.  She is survived by her daughter Kristin Bloom and her husband John of Ellendale; her granddaughter, Stephanie Marsh of Dover; her great granddaughters: Kaidyn, Jaeda, Aniya and Gabriella; her expected great grandson Carsen; her grandson Kevin Marsh and his wife Jessy and great granddaughter Paxton; her grandson Justin Bloom and family and her granddaughter Amber Carmichael and family; her sister in law Carolyn Morley and family; and her sister in law Nancy Post and family. 

     A funeral service will be 12:00 P.M. Wednesday, June 30, 2021 at the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden Wyoming Avenue, Wyoming, DE 19934 where there will be a viewing from 11:00 A.M. until 12:00 P.M. Wednesday.  Burial will follow in Hopkins Cemetery, Felton.  In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Milford VFW Post #6483, 77 Veterans Circle, Milford, DE 19963.
