Janet M Knouse

     Janet M. Knouse, 95, of Dover passed away on January 8, 2021.

     Mrs. Knouse had been a secretary for Whatcoat United Methodist Church for about 10 years.  She was a member of Whatcoat and sang in the choir.  She loved music and liked to play the piano.  She was a member of the Roundtable Club in Camden.  She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and cryptograms.

     Mrs. Knouse was preceded in death by her husband, Donald R. Knouse, who died in 1990.  She is survived by her three children:  Kathy Smith and her husband Tim of Dover, Beth M. Forbes and her husband Glenn of Rehoboth and Donald H. Knouse and his wife Lori of Monroe, CT; her brother, Zeb Lehman of Standing Stone, PA; four grandchildren: Shawn Smith, Brett Forbes and his wife Ryan, Taylor Knouse and Nicholas Knouse; and two great grandchildren, Gabbie Forbes and Bea Forbes. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Knouse was preceded in death by her siblings Betty Knouse, Lois Cole and Ted Lehman.

     The family would like to thank the staff of State Street Assisted Living, especially those working in Rose Lane.  Also, a big thank you to Compassionate Care Hospice who gave her comfort during her last days.
