Jane Aileen Shultz Roub went home to Heaven to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on June 23, 2026.
Jane was born at home in Rittman, Ohio on December 15, 1937 to Marion & Esther (Herman) Shultz and grew up in Rittman & Spencer, Ohio.
She was married to her High School Sweetheart, Charles Roub for 69 years. (She played clarinet in the band and he played football).
Jane was a Homemaker when her children were young and used many skills in that role including baking, sewing, knitting, embroidery, gardening & canning, etc. She was also a leader in Girl Scouts and 4H Clubs.
Her love for people and conversation led her into various sales pursuits through the years including retail, Tupperware, MaryKay. A gifted tole painter with an entrepreneurial spirit, she owned and operated Country Thyme, a gift shop in a historic one-room schoolhouse where former President Wm. Garfield had taught near Lexington, OH. In early retirement she traveled with her husband around the United States & Canada for business, visiting all 48 contiguous states plus several trips to Alaska to visit family.
Jane was a born again Christian who loved & served the Lord. She was a joyful and practical person and served in various Church-based ministries. Her love for babies made the church Nursery a natural fit, but she also enjoyed encouraging those at the other end of life through her service in Nursing Home ministries singing with her sister and brother-in-law while wintering in FL.
Along with other congregants, she and Chuck helped to start Calvary Independent Baptist Church in Plymouth, NH. They attended Westside Baptist Church in Ontario, OH for many years and she was most recently a member of Faith Community Church in Dover, DE.
In her free time Jane enjoyed  back road journeys with Chuck, reading, knitting, picnicking, traveling, swimming, camping, and playing her mountain dulcimer. Her special joy was making memories with her extended family, especially her four grandchildren and  seven great-grandchildren.
Jane is predeceased by her parents, husband, sister Linda Moore and granddaughter Aimee Roub, 2 nieces, 1 nephew, a brother-in-law and a sister-in-law.
