James "Ninnie" Henry Horton

     James Henry Horton, the son of the late James and Fronnie Horton, was born on June 3, 1934 in Wilson County, North Carolina.

      “Ninnie”, as he was known by those who truly loved him, was educated in the North Carolina school system.  James met and married the love of his life Peggy Joyce Holt on October 21, 1962.  James and Peggy later moved to Trenton, New Jersey for a period of time.  In May 1985 James and his wife moved back to the State of Delaware. 

     James accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal Savior. He was a member of The House of God Church, Keith Dominion. After relocating to the State of Delaware he became a member of St. Peters and Friends in Coolspring, Delaware where he was a member for 14 years.  In 2009 he became a member of True Grace Fellow under the leadership of Pastor Ben E. Fulton.

      James was predeceased in death by six sisters and two brothers.

     James leaves to cherish his memories, his loving wife, Peggy Horton; two sisters; his Goddaughter Carolyn E. Robinson; Godson Dwayne M. Farrior; specials friends Lawrence and Marjorie Barnes Sr. and Arlene Spivey; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

     A funeral service will be 11:00 A.M. Friday, October 20, 2023 at True Grace Fellowship Church, 420 West Street, Milford, Delaware 19963.  Burial will follow in Milford Community Cemetery, Milford. Online condolences may be made via www.pippinfuneralhome.com.
