James "Jimbob" "J.B." Robert Marshall Tucker, Sr.

     His family and friends regret to announce the passing of James Robert Marshall Tucker, Sr., known to his friends and family as Jimbob, on May 19, 2021 in Milford, Delaware.

     Born in Syracuse, NY on August 2, 1979, he grew up enamored of his grandparents, Jane and Jay Stephens and Chet and Grace Tucker.  In his youth, he fell irrevocably in love with camping, music, church and Boy Scouts, having achieved Lifetime rank in Boy Scouts.  As a man, he shared his love of the outdoors, science, music and learning in general with his children and friends.  

     JimBob had that sweet southern ability to spin a story into a yarn, pulling together all the disparate and mundane details to surprise us in the end with his vision of the beauty and joy in this world, and his surviving family reflects the way that he gathered others around him and wove us into his spell. Jimbob saved three lives with the gift of organ donation including his heart.  His kind heart will live on giving new hope to many.

     Jimbob is survived by his family, a cobbled-together and God-given collection of family and friends who loved and adored him: his wife, Beth Tucker and their two sons, Tuck (James Robert Marshall Tucker, Jr.) and El (Elliott Charles Dylan Tucker); his adult daughter, Burgundy James Anderson and her partner Eric Tate; his mother, Miss Mike Tucker; and his brother Daniel Tucker; his father Bawb Tucker; and his step mother, Fran Tucker; his uncle Randy Tucker and aunt Diane Tucker, his Aunt Charlotte and Uncle Hal; his Uncle Paul and his family; his Aunt Sister (Ann Tibbett) and her family; and Lilly Grohman, Burgundy’s mother and Jimbob’s devoted friend.  He leaves behind a legacy of love, devotion, and gentleness for us to share with the world on his behalf.
