James Wesley Janson

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of James Wesley Janson on July 2,2025 at the age of 68.

A devoted husband, loving father and cherished grandfather. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, love and a deep appreciation for nature.  And of course he was always up for some ice cream.

He is survived by his beloved wife Tonya Chance, his children Jason Janson Sr, Raymond Janson, Samuel Janson, Katie Janson, Darlene Janson and Teresa Turhune and  family , Tonya's children Nicole Carpenter, Amanda Aliff,Tiffany Pearson and Jerry Chance, Jr. His treasured grandchildren Angel Moreno, Jason Janson Jr, Lisa Janson, Dulce Rico, Mishka Ramirez, Saige Janson, A'millian Hynson and great grandson DJ. Sister Helen Janson and brothers Ricky and David Janson.

His family was his greatest joy and he embraced every moment spent with them. A true lover of the outdoors,  James found peace and in nature. Whether exploring the wilderness, caring for animals  or simply the beauty of the world around him. His passion for life was evident to all who knew him. His kindness extended not only to people but the animals he adored. Though he is no longer with us, his spirit will forever live on in the beauty of nature and the hearts of those who loved him.

A funeral service for James will take place on Friday, July 11, 2025 at 11:00am at Pippin Funeral Home.  The family will receive friends one hour prior.  The burial will follow at Busic Church Cemetery in Barclay, Maryland.
