James S. Govelovich
On April 11, 2021, James S. Govelovich, 86, left this earth while in the comfort of his home in Magnolia, DE, with his wife of 47 years, Doris Govelovich, by his side. Born in Steelton, PA, on February 13, 1935, he graduated from John Harris High School in Harrisburg, PA, a member of the class of 1954.
Jim retired from Harley Davidson in York, PA, with 19 years of service. He was a longtime member of the American Legion, Shiloh Post 791.
Jim never met a cat or a dog that he didn’t like. The loving caregiver of many animals over his lifetime, he and Doris went to great effort to care for lost and stray animals that they encountered, so much so that some of those strays ended up in the house.
Jim is survived by his wife, Doris; his children JoAnn Jacoby of Harrisburg, PA, and her wife Lisa Pletz; Barry Moul of Dover, PA, and his wife Mary Moul; and Cheryl Collins of Beaver Creek, OH, and her husband Christopher Collins; his eight grandchildren; and his five great grandchildren.
Cremation is being provided by Pippin Funeral Home. There will be no services. Memorial donations may be sent to Delaware Humane Association, 701 A Street, Wilmington, DE, 19801-5331. www.pippinfuneralhome.com
