James Arthur Glass of Camden DE, 61 years of age, departed this life in his home on September 17, 2020. James was born on September 24, 1958 in Dover DE. He attended Caesar Rodney Senior High School. James joined holy matrimony with Mae Watson in 1980.
James, known to most as Jimmy, spent his childhood growing up in Star Hill. Jimmy was born stricken with cerebral palsy; however as young boy he stood out because he never allowed his disability to deter him from doing anything such as roller skating, and riding bicycles. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Jimmy was well known around Star Hill and enjoyed socializing and talking noise. His favorite phrases were “Hollar Back “and “Bap Bap”. Jimmy knew everybody and everybody knew him.
James was preceded in death by his mother Dorothy V. Glass, stepfather Odell Glass Sr., three brothers Bernard, Carlton and Edwin Glass. A niece Anita and two nephews Bryan and Jarvelle Glass.
He leaves his fond memories for us to cherish with his wife Mae Glass of North Carolina, son James Marcal Glass (Terea) of North Carolina, one stepson Andrew Glass of North Carolina. Three grandchildren Iyaunna Harris of Dover DE, Kalasia and Kayden Glass of North Carolina. Sister in-law Jeanette Glass of Camden DE. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and best friend Glen Thomas and special cousin Edwin Berry.
