Reverend James Fagans Jr, beloved husband, father, Pop Pop and friend received his wings on Friday, January 7, 2022 in his home with family by his side.
James, the first born of James Fagans Sr. and Estelle Parker Fagans, was born January 28, 1958 in Salisbury Maryland. He received his education in Elizabeth City, North Carolina. When he became an adult he moved to Florida where he met the love of his life, Juanita Sharp.
They moved to Whatcoat Apartments in Dover, Delaware when James, also known as DOG became a truck driver.
He gave his life to Jesus Christ and joined The New Jerusalem Baptist Church where he served as an usher. While serving there, the Lord called him into the ministry.
Minister Fagans was known as a prayer warrior and a man of faith. He would pray for anyone anywhere and taught his children to do the same. He was later promoted to Reverend and preached just as hard as he prayed.
He was proceeded in death by his mother Estelle Fagans; three brothers Roger, Norman and Willie Fagans and stepmother Norma Fagans.
James Fagans leaves to cherish his memories his wife Juanita Fagans; 5 children Willie Sharp (Tammi), Theodorsia Sharp, Kimberly Brooks (Kenneth), Cassandra Fagans –Sharp and James Blackwell (Tiffanee); his father James Fagans Sr.; a brother Tyrone Fagans; three step sisters Joy Curry, Renee Jackson and Robin Jackson; 1 uncle Joseph Fagans (Evelyn); 1 aunt Rose Fagans Wright; 10 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; 1 God child; mother-n-law Mildred Heath; 5 sister-n-laws Sharon Fagans, Mildred Fagans, Algerie Ford, Patricia Reddick and Tiffancy Parrish; 1 brother-n-law Oscar Peterson; two special brother and friends Steve Parker (Cassandra) and Lewis Timmons; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and his New Jerusalem Church family.
