James Embody Obituary

James Michael "Crazy Jim" Embody, age 76, of Bowers Beach died peacefully at home on March 4, 2026, after a lengthy battle with cancer. Born in Spokane, Washington January 13, 1950, he was the adopted son of Daniel and Margaret Embody.

Jim was employed at Kraft-Heinz for just short of 50 years at the time of his death. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having worked as a mechanic in the motor pool. He was an avid motorcyclist, riding year-round. His mechanic skills were evident, having built several antique motorcycles and vintage surplus U.S. Army vehicles. Jim always made a point of keeping in touch with those close to him and was a dedicated and loyal friend.

Jim was predeceased by his father, Daniel R. Embody, Sr., his mother, Margaret C. "Peggy" Embody (nee Gran), and a brother, David R. Embody. He is survived by his brother, Daniel R. Embody, Jr. of Henderson, Nevada, and a son, Michael Strickland of Virginia.
