Jackie Coddington, 90, of Milford, DE passed away peacefully at home on August 21, 2025 with her husband Tom and daughter Leslie by her side after a short illness. Jackie was born September 11, 1934 in Paterson, NJ, the only child of Leo and Eunice (Koenen) Jordan.
She was a career driven woman, breaking barriers all along the way. She was the first female executive at Burlington Industries, earning her a place in the 1977-1978 Who’s Who of American Women. Jackie was an accomplished artist, despite having to overcome the “obstacle” of being left-handed many decades ago in a right-hand dominant world. She would also proudly tell all those who would listen about taking her pilot’s exam and drawing all the aeronautical charts by hand. She worked many different careers in her lifetime, from hospitality to horsemanship. Jackie also worked for Ballew Jewelers in Freehold, NJ for many years as store manager, gathering friends and stories throughout her time there.
Jackie is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 40 years Tom as well as her daughters Jacque Lee Robertiello and Leslie Dushensky (Joe), and her son Tom Riemer (Connie). She is also survived by 4 grandchildren: Justin, Erin, Allison and Ashley, and her 7 great-grandchildren: Jordan, Austin, Lacey, Dominic, Collin, Payton, and Colton. Also surviving is her soul dog Bailey and her cat Oliver, as well as many cherished friends. Jackie was preceded in death by her parents, Leo and Eunice.
Jackie will be remembered for her love of family and friends, work ethic (not retiring until 75), zest for life, unwavering friendship, willingness to have an adventure at the drop of a hat, and her never-ending shoe collection.
Per Jackie’s request, there will not be a service. A Celebration of Life will be planned at a later date. Special thanks to the staff at Bayhealth Sussex Campus and The Delaware Hospice (especially Kristal, Donna and Latoria) for their excellent care. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Delaware Hospice so they can continue the wonderful work they do. Online condolences may be made via www.pippinfuneralhome.com.
