Obituary

Isobel Marie Montgomery, 76, passed away peacefully at home Friday August 25, 2023. Isobel was born April 23,1947, in Philadelphia, PA. She was a daughter of Rachel Thomas and James Montgomery. Isobel was predeceased by her four sisters and a brother. Isobel is survived by her lifelong partner of 27 years, Leslie Hill, nieces, nephews, and many friends.

Isobel was very proud of her 18-year service in the Women’s Army Corps, and she retired from the U.S. Court of Veteran’s Appeals.

Interment will take place at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Millsboro, DE. Services will be private. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to Magnolia Fire Co., P.O. Box 55, Magnolia, DE 19962.
