Ingrid Renate Rockett

Ingrid Renate Rockett, age 84, of Dover, Delaware, passed away on October 17th, 2025. Born on March 24, 1941, in Berlin, Germany.

She was known for her love of country music and learned to speak English by listening to country music at a young age. She also loved hiking and traveling. In addition to Berlin, she also lived in Yorkshire, England; and Hong Kong; before moving to the United States in 1979. She enjoyed corresponding with friends and had pen pals from near and far. She was active in the Dover German Club as well as the First State Web Footers Walking Club. 

Ingrid was preceded in death by her mother Gertrud Hoffmann and daughter Sabine Hardt.

She is survived by her son Kenneth Hoffmann (wife Susan), daughter Daniela Hunt (husband David), grandchildren Jason Hunt (wife Samantha), Jessica Bell (husband Aaron), Laura Sakhuja (husband Kunal), Melanie Springer (husband Patrick), Nathaniel Stoner-Hoffmann (wife Sydney), Renee Hardt, Stephanie Hardt, Damien Hardt, Cassiopia Hardt and eight great-grandchildren.

Services will be private with arrangements by Pippin Funeral Home.
